You Can Order Your Ford GT Now;
Car Priced from Mid-$400,000 Range

Finally though, we have direct confirmation of how Ford will sell the GT. Beginning today, the company has opened up the application process to vet potential buyers of the new supercar. Yes, just like when buying a Ferrari, you'll be vetted, and you'll need to be wealthy.

Ford says the application process is to weed out those that won't be good "ambassadors" for the company or the supercar. For those submitting applications, only 500 of you will be chosen to receive a car, as GT production is limited to 500 units for the first two years.

Those who are accepted will be contacted by a new Ford Concierge Service specific to the Ford GT, and will be asked to come into a pre-approved dealership to "tailor" their car to their specific wants. Ford also revealed just how much you'll pay for a GT: The car will start in the "mid $400,000 range," meaning many shoppers could pay close to half a million after options.

Powder, Dirt, and Debauchery: BMW X4, Mercedes GLC and Porsche Macan

Snowflakes danced in our headlights' path as we wound our way up the dark mountain. By morning, the Taos Ski Valley was frosted white -- the type of day that skiers and snowboarders who descend on this alpine-forested sliver of the Land of Enchantment dream about. It served as a fitting starting point for our 750-mile journey across the Southwest in a trio of Germany's newest crossovers: the BMW X4, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Porsche Macan.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Review
Don't Call It a Comeback. Or a Minivan.

Pacifica is back. Priced more competitively ($29,590 through $43,490) it's a minivan that's kind of pretending -- with shorter overhangs, a wider, taller stance, less glass, optional 20-inch wheels, and optional four-wheel-drive -- to be a kind of crossover. But make no mistake, with the convenient electric sliding side doors -- now foot-operated -- improved Stow-N-Go seating, and all that gear in the rear to keep the peanut gallery entertained, we are deep in the competitive, feature-laden heart of minivan country.

Chasing V-Max In A Bentley Continental GT Speed

Chasing V-Max in a Bentley Continental GT Speed
As the Bentley nears 200 mph I focus solely on its fundamentals: steering, engine, brakes, and the view ahead. Suddenly, it feels race-car basic in here. The hand-made, leather-lined cabin is long forgotten. The two-lane Australian public road stretching out ahead of me is straight, but its surface is uneven. Each dip causes the wheel to kick back and the car's line to drift. Nerves make me want to strangle the rim, and it's a conscious effort to keep my grip loose.

The throttle requires the same constant attention to hold wide open. The noise and the sensation through my backside tell me that the 626-horsepower, 6.0-liter W-12 engine is starting to labor, so I must be getting close to 206 mph, or whatever the Continental's top speed is in these conditions. My gaze is fixed out through the bug-flecked windshield, and I have no desire to follow my progress on the dials. I ought to be able to see 3 miles to the horizon, but there's a solid heat haze in front of me, so it looks like I'm constantly approaching a crest. The pilot of the helicopter overhead tells me the road is clear, but my instinct for self-preservation would prefer visual confirmation. I'm also hyperaware of the brake pedal because I would very much like to use it.
